R & R Aviation was started in 2002 in response to the need for more and better flight training, especially in Warbirds and formation flying. It has since grown in size and scope. We now provide many services for the aviation community to include training, maintenance, test and ferry flights, flight manuals, sales brokering, insurance, and professional consulting.

R & R Aviation’s driving force is Richard Hess a 30-year, 19,000 hour pilot with 28 years in the Air Force & ANG, 20 years in the airlines, and extensive experience flying many general aviation singles and twins, and numerous jet and piston Warbirds. The following is but a partial list of the aircraft he’s flown: A-10, F-15, T-37, T-38, C-141, DC-9, MD-88, B-737, 757 & 767, King Air, L-29, L-39, CASA, T-33, Yak-52, CJ-6, T-28, & T-34. Richard is rated as an ATP, Flight Engineer, and Certified Flight Instructor.

Our mission is to provide the best services possible for whatever our client’s needs may be. If we can’t provide what’s needed, then we will contract with someone who can. If we still can’t provide a service, we will put our client in contact with someone who can. The bottom line: we want to be the aviation service of choice. We are also committed to training pilots to the highest standards possible regardless of whether it’s a G/A, Warbird, or VLJ aircraft.
